The weather is cooling down, but things are heating up on the courts at Gold Key Racquet Club! November is packed with opportunities to play, compete, connect, and have a little fun along the way. We've got competitive doubles tournaments, exciting junior action, our annual Thanksgiving cardio tradition, and even a little Tennis Beer Pong thrown into the mix! Whether you're looking to sharpen your game, meet new playing partners, or simply enjoy the Gold Key community, there's something for everyone this month. So grab your racquet, check your calendar, and get ready for a fantastic November!

 

EARN YOUR TURKEY! THANKSGIVING CARDIO CLINIC

Thursday, November 26, 8:00 to 10:00 AM

Before the turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie, come burn a few calories with us! Our annual Earn Your Turkey Cardio Clinic is back for Thanksgiving morning, and it's the perfect way to kick off the holiday with a little sweat and a lot of fun. We'll start with 40 minutes of high-energy, multi-court cardio drills designed to get your heart pumping, then transition into a series of fast-paced cardio games that will keep you moving, laughing, and competing. All levels are welcome, so bring your energy, your racquet, and maybe a little extra appetite! The clinic is FREE for Gold Key members and $36 for non-members. Space is limited, so sign up early through CourtReserve and earn that extra slice of pie!

 

DOUBLES & BUBBLES: YOUR NEW SUNDAY MORNING TRADITION

Every Sunday, 8:00 to 10:00 AM

Tennis, teamwork, and a little bubbly? Now that's our kind of Sunday! Our Doubles & Bubbles Clinic is quickly becoming a great way to wrap up the weekend. Designed for intermediate players, this two-hour session combines expert instruction, competitive doubles play, and a relaxed social atmosphere. The first hour focuses on doubles positioning, communication, strategy, movement, and point construction. During the second hour, players put those skills to work through organized doubles match play, with live coaching and tactical feedback throughout. And yes, we didn't forget the bubbles! Mimosas will be available for purchase during the morning. Want to keep playing afterward? Courts will remain available for members who want to extend the fun. Register through CourtReserve and make Sunday mornings your favorite two hours of tennis!

 

TUESDAY NIGHT MEN'S DOUBLES: COMPETITION MEETS CAMARADERIE

Every Tuesday, 7:00 PM

Some traditions are just too good to miss, and Tuesday Night Men's Doubles is definitely one of them! Join us for an evening of competitive tennis, rotating partners, and plenty of friendly rivalry. Players are grouped by skill level to create balanced matchups, and the rotating format gives everyone an opportunity to compete with different members throughout the evening. And because the fun doesn't have to end with match point, many players head to the Sports Bar afterward for a cold drink, a snack, and a little post-match storytelling. We're pretty sure the winning shots get better with every retelling! Gold Key members receive priority access, and non-members are welcome as space allows. Want to join the Tuesday night lineup? SWITA PRE-ELITE & ELITE JUNIOR TOURNAMENT

Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15

Get ready for a weekend of talented young players, exciting rallies, and some serious competition! Our SWITA Pre-Elite and Elite Tournament brings together our developing junior competitors for two days of match play, sportsmanship, and valuable tournament experience. It's an excellent opportunity for players to test their skills, build confidence, and put their training to work in a competitive setting. The entry fee is $30 per player. TENNIS BEER PONG: BIGGER CANS, BIGGER FUN!

Saturday, November 21, 6:00 PM

Think you've mastered beer pong? Think again! We're taking the classic backyard party game, supersizing it, and adding a tennis twist! In our Tennis Beer Pong Tournament, players use their tennis racquets to launch balls toward oversized red cups. It sounds easy enough, until you actually try it! This mixed coed event is all about creativity, coordination, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. You don't need to be a tennis superstar to have a blast, just bring your competitive spirit and a sense of humor. Grab a partner, come ready to play, and see who has the best aim at Gold Key! Sign up in the Pro Shop.

 

GOLD KEY ADULT INTERMEDIATE COED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS

Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29

The Thanksgiving leftovers can wait. It's championship time! We're closing out November with our Adult Intermediate Coed Doubles Championships, featuring two days of competitive tennis, great matchups, and Gold Key bragging rights. Whether you're looking to compete for the title or simply enjoy a fun tournament weekend with fellow players, this is a great opportunity to get in on the action. Don't have a partner? No problem! Let us know and we'll do our best to match you with someone. Entry is $20 per player for Gold Key members and $25 per player for non-members. Registration is available in the Pro Shop. Find your partner, bring your best game, and let's see who takes home the championship!

Saturday, December 12, Time to Be Announced

Mark your calendars! One of our favorite Gold Key traditions is right around the corner. Our Holiday Membership Appreciation Party is a chance to celebrate the people who make Gold Key such a special place. We'll start with a hearty chili and cornbread dinner, followed by a fun tennis exhibition featuring our talented teaching professionals. There will be door prizes, holiday surprises, plenty of good company, and maybe even a spirited game of Left-Right-Center to keep the evening rolling! This event is FREE for Gold Key members, $10 for additional family members, and $30 for non-members. We're also collecting canned goods for our Holiday Food Drive benefiting Mom's Pantry. Please consider bringing a donation to help support local families this holiday season. Be sure to sign up in advance so we can plan accordingly for food and festivities. We look forward to celebrating the season with our Gold Key family!

 

SWITA JUNIOR ACADEMY: KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING!

Our latest Junior Academy session kicked off the week of October 26, and there's still time to get your young player involved! SWITA's Junior Academy offers a positive, structured environment where players can build skills, develop confidence, make friends, and take their game to the next level. Academy sessions run in convenient four-week blocks, and players can join even after a session has started. Registering is easier than ever with CourtReserve! Simply log into your account, select the appropriate Junior Academy class, and reserve your player's spot. The complete Academy schedule is available at the front desk and in the online Academy brochure. Need help determining the right class or level?
