New Fees for Adult Clinic No Shows
In response to an increase in adult clinic no shows, the club is changing its policy from a $5 charge, to the full $10 charge for members and $15 for non-members when you no show for a clinic. To avoid this charge, simply show up for the clinic you signed up for, or at least call or cancel online as there is usually a wait list of people hoping to get into the clinics.
New Court Lighting
We are super excited to announce the new lighting conversion taking place at the club over the next month. We have always been spoiled by having some of the best lighting in town in the past. The new LED conversion actually surpasses our old lighting, and will operate with about half the power consumption!
December was a very successful month for our academy! Starting with the Scottsdale USTA L5, Lincoln Baldonado won 2nd place in 16U, Kade Talbot got 3rd place in 18U and Anjani Vickneswaran got 3rd playing up in 14U. At the USTA L6 Christmas Classic, we had Chase George as champion for 16U, Tiana Pritts as champion for 18U and Natalie Esparza as 2nd place in 18U. Meanwhile in Scottsdale, we had Kade Talbot and Theodor Wolf getting the 2nd place in 18U doubles and Anjani Vickneswaran getting the 2nd place also playing up in 14U. And to finish the year, we had one of the biggest tournaments of the year at the L3 in Scottsdale, where players from all of the country came here to play. We had Nandini Gupta, winning consolation championship in 12U. Ranya Mulk got 2nd place in 14U beating the seed number 2 in semifinals. To finish, just two players from Arizona won that tournament and one of them was our Anjani Vickneswaran who got the championship in 12U beating the seeds 1 and 2. With this championship, Anjani secured finishing the year as the number 1 in the sectional ranking and 30 in the national ranking. Talking about number 1 in the section, we congratulate Aditya Pandey for finishing the year as number 1 in the sectional ranking as well and 19 in the National ranking. Thanks for following our achievements and we’ll keep you posted about our progress
