What’s Happening at Gold Key This September!

September is shaping up to be another busy month at Gold Key Racquet Club! From tournaments and inter-club competition to Junior Academy action and some exciting technology upgrades, there’s plenty happening on and off the courts. Here’s what you need to know.

 

CourtReserve Is Officially Up & Running!

The transition is complete! Gold Key Racquet Club has officially moved club operations to CourtReserve, giving members more access, convenience, and control over their club experience.

CourtReserve is now your go-to place for court reservations, adult clinic registration, events, account information, and real-time court availability. You can access the system from your phone or computer through www.goldkeyracquetclub.com by selecting Member Portal at the top of the page.

And it’s about to get even easier! Coming this month, we’ll be launching the dedicated Gold Key Racquet Club app in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The new app will make it even more convenient to reserve courts, register for activities, manage your account, and stay connected with everything happening at the club.

One important reminder: We still have several members who have not updated their payment method in CourtReserve. If you haven’t done so yet, please take a moment to update your account at your earliest convenience. If you have any trouble accessing CourtReserve or updating your information, our front desk team is happy to help at 602-993-1900.

Intermediate Doubles Tournament | September 19–20

Grab a partner and get ready to compete! Gold Key Racquet Club is hosting an Intermediate Doubles Tournament on September 19–20, featuring co-ed doubles competition in a fun and competitive format.

And when we say co-ed, we mean everybody! Teams may consist of two men, two women, or one man and one woman, giving players plenty of options when choosing a partner.

Every team is guaranteed a minimum of two matches, so there will be plenty of court time and an opportunity to put your doubles game to the test.

Entry is $20 per player for Gold Key members and $25 per player for non-members. Match times will be announced soon, so start finding your partner now!

Adult Clinics – September Update

Our Adult Clinic schedule remains unchanged for September, so keep playing, competing, and working on your game!

We do have one important reminder regarding late cancellations and no-shows. We’ve seen an increase in players reserving spots in popular prime-time clinics and then canceling late or not showing up. When that happens, another player who wanted to participate often loses the opportunity.

To keep clinic spots available and fair for everyone, late-cancellation and no-show fees will be more consistently enforced moving forward. If your plans change, please cancel your reservation as early as possible so another player has an opportunity to join.

Tuesday Night Men’s Doubles

Tuesday nights continue to be one of Gold Key’s favorite weekly traditions!

Tuesday Night Men’s Doubles combines competitive tennis, great camaraderie, and a little social time afterward. Play begins every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, with courts grouped by playing level to create balanced and enjoyable matchups. The rotating format keeps things fresh and gives players an opportunity to compete with and against different members each week.

Gold Key members receive priority access, with non-members welcome to participate as space allows. And when the tennis ends, the night doesn’t necessarily have to — many players stick around afterward for drinks, snacks, and conversation in the Sports Bar.

Gold Key vs. Arrowhead Tennis Club | Saturday, September 26

It’s time for a little friendly club rivalry!

On Saturday, September 26, Arrowhead Tennis Club is coming to Gold Key for a special Inter-Club Exchange Nightfeaturing an evening of competition, camaraderie, and great tennis under the lights.

Players from both clubs will compete in level-based matchups and fast-paced rotations, making the event accessible to players of all levels while still keeping the competition strong. And, of course, there will be plenty of Gold Key vs. Arrowhead bragging rights on the line!

Play begins at 6:00 PM, and the cost is $20 for Gold Key members, including pizza and salad after the competition.

SWITA Pre-Elite / Baby Elite Fall Championship | September 12–13

Our young competitors are taking center court!

The SWITA Pre-Elite / Baby Elite Fall Championship will be held September 12–13 and is an academy-only event open to current SWITA players and invited players.

The tournament is designed to give developing players valuable competitive experience while providing a positive and supportive environment to put everything they’ve been learning into action. A compass draw format means every participant is guaranteed three matches, providing plenty of opportunities to compete, learn, adjust, and build confidence.

Entry is $30 per player, with trophies and prizes up for grabs.

Junior Academy – New Session Underway!

The next session of SWITA Junior Academy began the week of August 31, and there’s still time to get involved! Academy sessions operate in convenient four-week blocks, and players can join even after a session has started.

Even better, registering your junior player is now easier through CourtReserve. Simply log into your account, find the appropriate Junior Academy class, and reserve your player’s spot online.
