Club News April 2026

Updates on New Club Software Coming to Gold Key
We are making steady progress on the transition to our new club management system, and while it has taken a bit longer than expected, we are now targeting Monday, April 6 for the full rollout. As soon as everything is live, we will notify all members via email and text. Once launched, you will be able to book courts online anytime from your phone or computer, view real time availability, and manage reservations with ease. The new system also includes a dedicated club app where you can handle bookings, review your account, and make updates all in one place. Please note that credit card information will not carry over from the current system, so you will need to re enter your payment details once the transition is complete. CourtReserve will also streamline sign ups for clinics, leagues, and events while keeping you informed with timely updates. Our goal is to deliver a smoother, more convenient experience that keeps everything simple and accessible.

Club Reminder and Holiday Hours
Please note that the club will be closed on April 5, Easter Sunday, so that our team can enjoy the holiday with their families. We appreciate your understanding and support. As a reminder on booking windows, Members looking to reserve courts for Tuesday may do so starting Saturday after 8:30 AM. Non members may begin making reservations on Saturday for Monday play.

New Club Activities Coordinator
We are excited to welcome Patrica Mills as our new Adult Activities Coordinator at Gold Key. She is already bringing fresh energy and ideas to the club and is eager to build out new programming for our members. Patrica is looking for input from all of you on the types of events and activities you would like to see, from new tournaments and social mixers to potential traveling tennis trips. If you see her around the club, be sure to introduce yourself and share your ideas as we continue to grow and enhance the member experience together.

Greg Beers Memorial Event
We invite our community to come together on Saturday, April 18 to honor the life and legacy of Greg Beers, marking 10 years since his passing. This special tennis fundraiser will support stroke education and research at the University of Iowa and celebrate the impact Greg had on so many both on and off the court. As the father of our tennis professional Katie Beers and a longtime pro in the Gold Key Pro Am, Greg brought passion, talent, and energy that left a lasting impression on everyone who watched him play. The day will begin with morning drills at 9 AM, followed by lunch and afternoon play continuing until 3 PM. Players of all levels are encouraged to participate, especially Try Level players, as Greg believed the game should be accessible and enjoyed by all. Registration is available at the front desk or online, with pricing set at 50 dollars for adults, 35 dollars for students, 25 dollars for juniors ages 8 to 18, and 20 dollars for lunch only supporters. Payment will be collected on the day of the event via Venmo or cash. We hope you will join us for a meaningful and memorable day.

D Backs Viewing Parties in the New Sports Bar
Game days at The Den are quickly becoming a must experience at the club. Every Saturday, we turn up the energy with wall to wall coverage of D Backs baseball, ice cold drinks, and a menu built for fans who want to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is engaged, and every pitch feels like it matters. Whether you are backing the home team or showing up to represent your squad, expect plenty of fun and a little friendly back and forth. Bring your crew, grab a drink, and enjoy the game the way it should be watched. For more information, reach out to luis@goldkeyracquetclub.com.

Tuesday Night Men’s Doubles
Tuesday nights continue to bring a strong mix of competition and camaraderie with our Men’s Doubles program starting at 7 PM. This weekly format keeps things moving with eight game rotations where each player serves twice before switching partners on the same court. Courts are grouped by level to ensure balanced matchups and a great experience for everyone. Members receive priority access, with non members filling in as needed. After play wraps up, many players stick around to unwind in the pro shop with drinks and snacks. To join, confirm your spot, bring a can of balls, and email cody@goldkeyracquetclub.com.

Thursday Night Mixed Doubles
Thursday evenings are now dedicated to mixed doubles, offering a fun and social coed format beginning at 7 PM each week. Open to all levels, courts are organized to create competitive and enjoyable matchups across the board. Members receive priority placement, while non members may join when space allows. Junior Academy
Our 2026 Junior Academy continues with the next session beginning the week of March 30, running in four week cycles with flexible enrollment options for families. Players are welcome to join at any point during the session, making it easy to get started. Future Stars, our introductory program for younger players, meets on Fridays at 6 PM and focuses on building fundamentals in a fun and engaging environment. To help us manage court space and staffing, we ask that families register and submit payment at the start of each session. Full schedules and program details are available online and at the front desk. For placement guidance or questions, please contact Luis Ridaura at luis@goldkeyracquetclub.com.

SWITA Junior Intensives in April
Our April SWITA Junior Intensive is designed for players who are ready to take a more serious step into competitive training. This invitational camp focuses on high energy drills, structured match play, and coaching that emphasizes accountability, discipline, and growth. Players will be pushed to raise their level while building confidence and developing the habits needed to compete at a higher standard. The session will take place on April 18 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. The cost is 85 dollars and includes dinner. Space is limited, and this is a great opportunity for athletes who are ready to challenge themselves and continue progressing in their development.
